New Covenant’s Purpose is to glorify and fully enjoy God through
His Son Jesus Christ, enabled by the Holy Spirit to live, teach, and prepare all for
faith in Christ so they may serve and share the Good News.
Core Beliefs
There is one God, who exists eternally in 3 persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is the sovereign Creator and Sustainer of all heaven and earth.
Jesus Christ is LORD, and the second person of the Trinity, eternally begotten of the Father. Jesus is the eternal son of God, born of a virgin, who through his perfect life and sacrificial death, atoned for the sins of all who trust in him alone for salvation.
Salvation comes by God's grace through faith in which we are declared forgiven of all our sins and united to God forever. We are saved by the faithfulness of Jesus Christ. We receive the hope of salvation through Jesus Christ's bodily resurrection and ascension and look forward to his promised return.
The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son and is worshipped and glorified with the Father and the Son together. The Holy Spirit is sent to seal believers in Christ, to convict the world of sin, to remind us of all Jesus did for our salvation, and to help us in our faith journey.
Mankind is created in God's image, but through sin is alienated from God. Human beings are sinners by nature, by influence, by choice, by action. Humanity is in bondage to sin and subject to God's holy judgment. Without God's intervening grace and salvation, mankind is lost and condemned.
The Bible is the infallible and inspired word of God, complete and perfect as it relates to Truth, Life, and Faith.
The church is composed of all persons who trust in Jesus Christ and are united by the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the sovereign head of the church.
As believers, we are called to be the body of Christ-practicing faith with one another, as a called-out people-each gifted for use within the body and in the world for the advancement of God's kingdom on earth.
